The White Sneaker. Every man should own a simple white sneaker like the Vans Classic Authentic. The classic design transcends age groups and lifestyles. It would be as appropriate for riding a skateboard as it would be for hanging on a boat. Don't be afraid to get them dirty. I keep two pairs: one as white as possible and the other skuffed up from concerts, bars, parties, etc, covered in beer, dirt and general city filth.
